MAKING OUR CHURCH MORE FIRE RESISTANT

Fire department inspectors said we had to improve the fire resistance of our church and estimates revealed that it will be expensive. Straight forward items included removing the curtains from the stage in the lower hall and painting the walls with fire resistant pain. They also require fire doors in many places.

Curtains are gone and walls painted
with lighter fire resistant paint.
Cupboards at bottom of stairs are
gone and we have new fire doors
going into the lower hall

Fire doors at both
ends of the Gym
Fire doors to the parlour, office
and the upper and lower washrooms.
